History of Pumpkinville
Pumpkinville enjoys the claim of being the oldest original pumpkin farm in New York State. In fact, research shows it might be the oldest continuously operated pumpkin farm in the United States.
In the early 1960's, Joe and Helen Halloran's teenage sons, Tom and Dan, planted a few pumpkins and people stopped by the roadside to buy them. Over the years, they began adding more pumpkins, displays and buildings to the farm.
In 1996, the Hallorans entrusted Pumpkinville to the Pawlowski family. Since then Dan and Diane and their children, Lisa and Jim, combined their creativity with hard work to grow Pumpkinville into the tourist attraction it is today.
Pumpkinville has something for everyone to interest every member of the family, no matter how young or young at heart!
